Questions people keep asking

Can we camp? Where do we sleep Saturday night?

Camping on the grounds is Friday night only, and it’s bring-your-own-gear. You can also sleep inside the hall (anywhere but the kitchen) if you’d rather not pitch a tent. We have to be off the property by 11:00 PM Saturday, so Saturday night lodging is on your own — see Lodging & car rental info. We pick back up Sunday morning at Magic Island.

Can family who didn’t register come?

Friday and Saturday at Na Kūhiō ʻIke are for registered ʻohana — that’s what the food, shirts, and venue count are built around. Sunday at Magic Island is open to everyone in the family, registered or not. It’s a public beach park, it’s casual, and we’d love to see you there. Meals on Sunday are already covered for registered ʻohana; if you’re coming along and aren’t registered, we just ask that you bring a dish to share if you’re able.

If you show up on the day

You’re still welcome — we’d never turn ʻohana away. You’ll just pay the regular rate at the gate, the same full amount everyone else paid:

Both days — $125 per adult, $75 per keiki (4–12)
Just one day — $100 per adult, $55 per keiki (4–12)
Children 3 and under are free, same as always.

One thing we can’t promise: a shirt. Those were ordered to a headcount months ago. We deliberately ordered extras and they’ll be there first come, first served — but they may be gone.

What’s included in registration?

Your reunion t-shirt, both days at Na Kūhiō ʻIke (Friday and Saturday), the shared meals on the schedule, and Sunday at Magic Island. Specific meal details will be confirmed closer to the date.

Can I still add someone to our registration?

Registration and changes closed on July 31, 2026 so we could lock the headcount, the food and the shirt order, so names can’t be added online any more. If someone in your ʻohana still wants to come, email kbcohanareunion@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to work something out.

What if I can’t make it after paying?

All refund windows have now closed — the last ended on July 25, 2026, and the venue, food and shirt order are all bought and paid for. Please still email us if something has come up; we would rather hear from you. For the record, the tiers were:

Before May 30, 2026 — full refund minus the $25 deposit per person.
May 30 – July 25, 2026 — 50% of the balance refunded; deposit non-refundable.
After July 25, 2026 — no refunds. Final headcounts have to be locked for the venue and shirt order.

We only paid the deposit — can we still pay the balance?

Yes, any time. There is no cut-off on paying a balance. Sign in to your account to pay it, or use the private pay link we emailed your ʻohana — it still works. Klarna, Afterpay and Affirm are available at checkout if a larger family would rather split it.

Can we still buy a shirt or a hat?

Online ordering closed on August 15, 2026 so the bulk order could go to the printer. We deliberately ordered extras, so there will be shirts, hats and stickers for sale at the reunion — first come, first served, while they last.
